    Imagine’s Brisbane Campus has one lecture room and fifteen classrooms equipped with comfortable, modern furniture and the latest in teaching facilities. Just some of our features include:

    Imagine Education also has a commercial kitchen for our Brisbane commercial cookery students' practical training located close-by to our Brisbane Campus. The training kitchen is located in the Best Western Plus Hotel Diana in Woolloongabba, and offers our students the following features:

      Overview

      This qualification is suitable if you wish to pursue a career in the range of occupations associated with the hospitality industry in areas of commercial cookery. The qualification gained opens a world of opportunities for cooks and kitchen hands. The types of positions that can be sought at a management level (after some operational experience) include kitchen manager, chef, or small business operator. Graduates can expect to work with people from all over the world and see and experience a vast array of food and preparation techniques. Learning pathways: on successful completion of this course, graduates may consider further study at a higher tertiary level within the vocational education and training sector. The course duration is 40 weeks inclusive of 48 service periods in a commercial kitchen.

      Overview

      This qualification reflects the role of commercial cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems. This qualification provides a pathway to work in various kitchen settings, such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias, and coffee shops. Individuals may enter this course with limited or no vocational experience and without a lower level qualification. However, it is strongly recommended that individuals undertake lower level qualifications, and/ or gain industry experience prior to entering the qualification. The course duration is 25 weeks inclusive of 48 service periods in a commercial kitchen.

      Overview

      This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base in marketing management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that marketing functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. Typically, they would have responsibility for the work of other staff and lead teams in conducting marketing campaigns. Depending on the units selected for the qualification, candidates may obtain a generic marketing qualification or specialise in direct marketing, public relations, or international marketing.

      Overview

      This qualification reflects the role of individuals with substantial experience in a range of settings who are seeking to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions. This qualification is also suited to the needs of individuals with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities. Outcomes include advertising, business administration, human resource management, marketing, and management. After obtaining the Diploma of Business, candidates wishing to further their education can undertake Advanced Diploma-level qualifications.

      Overview

      Study options for 20, 25, and 30 hours per week


      This course is for students who want to communicate in an everyday English speaking environment. It is designed to improve students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The courses are available at graduated levels from beginner to advanced, varying from functional English at the lower levels to more academic in the advanced classes. Course delivery is fun, modern, active, and challenging. On completion of their studies students will receive a certificate indicating their level of proficiency.

      Overview

      International English Language Testing System (IELTS)


      This course is for students who want to gain the IELTS score they need for university, Vocational Education and Training/ TAFE, or migration purposes. Our IELTS preparation course is designed to improve students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The course focuses examination preparation and is for advanced students. Student progress is monitored through regular assessment and class participation and programs are flexible to meet the needs of the individual students.


      Assessment reflects the real demands of higher learning and includes:


      Formal written test papers
      Vocabulary and grammar
      Written assignments and argumentative essays
      On completion of their studies, students will receive a certificate indicating their level of proficiency.
